1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ThriftLens ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the App.

2. Description of Service

ThriftLens is an AI-powered mobile application that provides:

• AI analysis of thrift items using Google Gemini AI
• Estimated pricing information and market data
• Profit margin calculations
• Scan history and inventory management
• Subscription-based premium features

Important: Our AI analysis and pricing estimates are for informational purposes only and should not be considered as professional appraisal or financial advice.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse the service or other users
• Fail to pay subscription fees

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

4.1 Subscription Tiers

4.2 Billing and Renewal

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You can cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting support
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial billing periods
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe

4.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4.4 Refund Policy

• Refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase
• Refunds are processed through our payment processor (Stripe)
• We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods after the initial refund window
• Refunds are at our sole discretion for exceptional circumstances

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the App
• Use automated systems to access the App (scraping, bots)
• Share your account with others
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Rights

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to:

• Text, graphics, logos, icons
• Software code and algorithms
• AI models and analysis methods
• Design and layout

Are owned by ThriftLens and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Rights

You retain ownership of:

• Images you upload
• Scan results and analysis data
• User-generated content

By using the App, you grant us a license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

7. Disclaimers and Limitations

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• 100% accuracy of AI analysis
• Availability at all times
• Compatibility with all devices

7.3 Limitation of Liability

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on our analysis
• We are not liable for third-party services (Google, Stripe, etc.)

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ThriftLens, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of others
• Content you upload or share

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services:

• Google Firebase: Authentication and data storage
• Google Gemini AI: AI analysis
• Stripe: Payment processing

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Cancelling your subscription (if applicable)
• Deleting your account through the App
• Contacting us to request account deletion

10.2 By Us

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Abuse the service

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App ceases immediately
• We may delete your account and data
• You remain liable for all charges incurred
• Sections that should survive termination will remain in effect

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending you an email notification (for material changes)
• Displaying a notice in the App

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
